Isss Next…. Development and Learning Theories

Posted by mike on Jan 9, 2007 in Doctoral Adventure, Thoughts on classes |

I am beginning my next class. Development and Learning Theories (CUR711). The class promises to expand my current understandings of development and learning theory, thus the title. As you know, I am not a K-12 educator, nor do I intend to be a K-12 teacher. This means that I will be applying the concepts in the class to my experiences as a learning and performance professional.

I am going to try something different during this class with my blog. I will be putting my thoughts on the articles out here on the Doc Blog. This should give you some sense of what is going on in the class materials. It is also going to give me a different outlet to compare, contrast, and synthesize the reading.

I will be looking at the research, the validity, the application of the reading to the class, my dissertation topic, and the industry. It should be an interesting experience.

    Matt,

It has been a while, welcome back. Yes, I am earning my doctorate online. Specifically, I am earning an Ed.D./Curriculum and Instruction from University of Phoenix. It is a 3.5 year program for about 62 credits.
