School Daze

Posted by mike on Feb 13, 2007 in Doctoral Adventure, Thoughts on classes |

I’ve spent the weekend in a fog. A daze, if you will. Somehow I sprained my ankle and with my leg up and on meds, was not feeling much in the mood for school. So how to get back in the groove? I don’t know.

I have a deadline that whooshed passed. So, late on a paper…ugh, lost points. I am looking for some motivation to finish the paper off and get it submitted. So, I am trying some writing here in the Doc Blog. Sometimes just moving gets me moving more. Must be the law of intertia, objects in motion tend to stay in motion. Directly after posting this, I will delve back into the paper and get it wrapped up.

I also find the right environment to be of importance. While the recliner in my living room is comfortable and family-oriented, it is not alway the bet place to do my work. There is something about having my feet up that makes me lazy. Oddly, my job is home-based and I can find a link to where I work to how well I work. Office good – Living Room not so good.

Keeping focused, the meds are less. My energy is up and having written this little bit, I feel the energy to get back to my paper.
