Publishing

I’ve been writing a lot in class. Not a surprise in a distance learning program, not to mention doctoral program. Some of the writing could be consider worthy of print. The question is, how to begin?

I’m not talking about a book, that is some time off for me. I am looking at three potential outlets:

• Peer-reviewed journals
• Industry journals
• Conferences

The University has a listing of publication resources but it is heavily focuses on conferences, which is okay as giving me some insight into what to do. However, it doesn’t provide resource for getting published, writing for publishing, pursuing publishing.

As I enter a large Summer break, awaiting the baby, I am hopeful to keep writing on my topic of collaborative learning technology.  To that end, I would need to publish that work in order for it to have any value for me. So what to do? I’ll blog about it and hope that someone out there reading has some advice for my quest.
