Millennials

I have been perplexed by the difference in Gen Y and Millennials. It would seem that others are too. So, I picked up Millennials Rising by Howe and Strauss hoping for an answer. The book is well written and offers a lot in terms of getting to know this generation. I am just beginning in my reading but look forward to finding some details that separate, compare or define either Gen Y or Millennials.

It seems that some folks lump them together and others differentiate the two groups. This makes the building of my prospectus a little harder. However, it seems that Howe and Strauss are experts along with Prensky and Tapscott. All of these folks define the two groups as slightly different from each other.

I am thinking of writing each of the authors and asking for advice. I have written Tapscott’s assistant but got no response. Oh well, not everyone has the time to write back to curious fans.
