Problem Statement Revisions

Greetings from DOC721R, my second year residency. This morning was a lengthy orientation about the program and the class, only to be reiterated in the class itself. This afternoon the class began to present the problem statements we’ve been creating since RES711.
I presented my problem statement this afternoon and found that prior guidance from RES711 was inadequate and lacking. The problem statement was more clearly defined through questioning and collaboration of a skilled group of colleagues and professors. Something I think my RES711 lacked.
So, back to the drawing board. The problem remains the same…what is the impact of collaborative learning technology on the work performance of millennial generation employees. According to the feedback from the class and the professor, I need to work on some important aspects of my problem and completely wipe out my existing work from RES711 (which leads to a discussion of the usefulness and continuance of that course…I digress).
So, what am I looking at:
- The difference between instructor-led training and collaborative learning technology modalities
- The impact that difference has on worker performance in terms of something:
- Error rates
- Job satisfaction
- Employee absenteeism
- Production statistics
- Extension of demography research done already and making some in roads into corporate training
All of this leads to a change back to qualitative research study that uses some correlation statistics.
Well, this reflective post needs to come to an end. I will post more from residency later.
Comments welcome.
